The Hannibal-LaGrange University Baseball Team recently signed Brendan Durham from Reeds Spring, Missouri. Durham has played first base for Reeds Spring High School. He currently resides with his parents Sue and Joe White.
Durham is a three time letter winner at RSHS and has played every position except center field and shortstop. He also played on the football team where he was a receiver and cornerback. During his career he was able to move his batting average up to 302 with 23 RBI’s and 28 runs. Durham has also had a lot of academic success with four Academic All-Conference awards and one Academic All-State award. He graduated Magna cum laude but is undecided on what he wants to major in at HLGU.
Coach Ben Strother added, “Brendan has a lot going for him. He was a three year starter in an area of Missouri that produces great baseball players, he has a high baseball IQ, and his love of the game shines through when talking baseball. He also will be able to fill a hole for us with a good glove at 1B, and also has versatility at the catching position and in the outfield. Brendan is a great addition to our team.”
