The number one story of 2019 takes us to Blue Eye and a couple of sports that do not get the attention they deserve.
In the Fall of 2018 the Blue Eye girls Cross Country team finished as State Runners up. We all saw a glimpse of what was to come.
We flip the calendar to 2019, add a few athletes and the Blue Eye Lady Bulldog Track Team took aim on the rest of the state. The result?… The first State Championship in the schools history.
Now that would be worthy of the top story, all to itself. But the Blue Eye success of 2019 did not stop there. Led by Avery and Riley Arnold, the Lady Bulldog Cross Country team dominated the competition throughout the entire fall and the season ended on top of the podium hosting another State Championship Trophy.
It was not just the girls that found success. The boys finished the Cross-Country season as State Runners-Up.
