Meanwhile, the Branson Pirates picked up their second victory in a row. This time, they did so on the road. The Pirates traveled to Republic and took care of the Tigers on their Homecoming. 21-14 was the final as Branson moves to 2-5 on the season. The Pirates will look to continue this string of success when they host Willard next week at Pirates Stadium.
Not quite as good news for the Hollister Tigers. Coach Jacob Hammon took his Tigers up to Springfield Catholic to face a couple of familiar faces. Hammon played for Steve Hancock and Ron Martin at Branson. Now the duo leads the Irish. And this night, the Irish had it going. Catholic claimed the COC victory 45-7.
