Hollister Schools have landed a big name to lead their Athletic Programs. Nyla Milleson has been tabbed to take over as the Hollister Athletic Director at the end of the current school year.
Milleson, best known around her, for her time in leading the Women’s Basketball Programs at Drury and Missouri State. She started the NCAA Division II program at Drury, and was a Huge Success, including a trip to the national championship game. She won a Missouri Valley Championship during her tenure leading the Lady Bears.
Most recently Milleson has been the head coach of George Mason University in Virginia. She is looking forward to the new job. “While hanging the whistle up is going to be tough,” Milleson said, “I am ready for a new challenge and to impact student-athletes in a new way. To have the opportunity to be the full-time athletic director for Hollister Schools is a dream come true. I am excited to be a part of such a great school district and awesome community.”
Milleson will take over for John Burgi, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
